Dan Wong


Dan Wong has created and built several successful start up sales/marketing operations, directing initiatives targeted at multinational, multicultural, business and consumer markets in international and domestic U.S. capacities.

Mr. Wong has extensive experience in global marketing and business development. After managing AT&T National Accounts in the financial services sector, he opened AT&T Communications' office in Singapore. Acting as a liaison to governmental PTT administrations, he also directed all business marketing activities in Southeast Asia and provided consultancy to multinational clients on business communications planning, network design, and applications development. Later as Director of Consumer Marketing, Mr. Wong oversaw market management, marketing communications, public relations, and program delivery activities in the entire Asia/Pacific region; he built the USADirect, AT&T Calling Card and International Long Distance annual revenue base to more than $150 million in two years.

While with AT&T, Mr. Wong was also co-founder of the Multicultural Consumer Sales Division targeting Asian, Hispanic, Eastern European and African American long distance customers. He commanded a sales management organization of approximately 800, covering the Eastern half of the U.S. via implementation of affinity marketing, local area marketing and sales management channel strategies. He relocated to California to help start a new organization in charge of developing alternate channels, events, sponsorships, and partnerships to market local services.

After AT&T Mr. Wong joined iTELSA and opened overseas telecommunications markets, marketed a proprietary debit processing system and developed bilateral routes. High points included the construction of agreements to provide VoIP (Voice-over-IP) connections between the U.S. to China and Thailand, and the introduction of a prepaid card service offering in St. Maarten. Attracted by opportunities in Silicon Valley, Mr. Wong joined NetReality, where he developed and managed strategic software vendor and channel partner relationships, planned joint marketing initiatives and conducted product integration negotiations to promote an integrated hardware/software solution for bandwidth management of Wide Area Network (WAN) facilities.

Mr. Wong has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brooklyn College and a Mini-MBA Certificate in General Management from the University of Pennsylvania - Wharton School of Business, as well as a Strategic Marketing Planning Program Certificate from the University of Michigan - East Asia Business Program. He also has a Certificate of Import/Export from the Center for International Trade Development. With varying levels of fluency, Mr. Wong can converse in Cantonese (Toisan dialect), Spanish, Mandarin, French and Japanese.
